TOWER OF BABEL

IMPORTANT FIND IN THE RUINS OF BABYLON. By TeleßTapli—Press Afieociation—CopyriEht "Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services. Berlin, April 22. German excavators on the site of Babylon are believed to have discovered traces of the Tower of Babel. They found a colossal staircase of three'flights which, it is supposed, led to the first story of the Tower, arid also unearthed four great gates of tho town wall built by Nebuchadnezzar's father. . Arohaeologisls have now laid bare Babylonic ruins covering both banks of the Euphrates, and these convey some idea of thn former magnitude and splendour of Babylon, in ancient Geography tho capital of Babylonia. Nebuchadnezzar was King of Babylonia from 603 to DG2 8.C., and was one of the greatest monarchs of tho anciout world.
