MISSIONS TO SEAMEN

A large number of seamen were present at tho weekly concert of tho Missions to Seamen. The programme, which was provided by Miss Hartley and some friends from R.M.S. Athenic, was a varied one. Tho Misses Bartlcy played an opening pianoforte duet, in addition to the accompaniments. Miss Grant and Miss Lenzini rendered vocal selections, and Miss Necs contributed an elocutionary item. A novel item was that of Mr. Nees, who played a one-stringed violin with pleasing effect. Among others who contributed were: Messrs. Dowlor, Hodson, Duffy, Jonos, and Allen. Several of the songs were of a humorous character and greatly pleased tho audience. Mr. W. Gardner, who presided in tho absence of the Missio'ner, moved the usual voto of thanks at tho conclusion.
