MEETING OF THE BOARD. At the Wellington Harbour Board's monthly meeting on Wednesday night, thero were present: Messrs. R. Fletcher (chairman), C. W. Jones, H. L. Nathan, W r . T. Hildreth, J. Trevor, A. H. Hindmarsh, D. J. Watson, J. W. M'Ewan, C. E. Daniell, A. M'Farlane, J. G. Cobbe, and 11. A. Wright. Leave of' absence was granted to Messrs. A. D. Kennedy and M. Cohen. The bank pass-books showed: Current account, credit balance, £21,882 17s. 10d.; imprest account, credit balance, £1439 9s. 10d.; on fixed deposit, £80,000. ■Payments were authorised as under: —For interest accounts and wages, £18,410 9s. 9d.; for progress payments on contracts, £3394 4s. 7d.; for salaries for April, £891 Is. 3d.; total, £22,495 los. 7d. ' Tho chairman reported that the tender of Messrs. Briscoe and Company, iLtd., for tho supply and delivery of 265 tons of cut and punched steel hoops and thrco tons of Malleable cast iron studs for tho sum of £2699 lis. 6d. liad been signed. Also that tho following tenders for annual supplies and services had beou accepted A, B, and C Schedule, Blackball. Coal Co., Ltd.; coal, D Schedule, D. Audews; removal of rubbish, Hugh Doherty.
