MR. DAWSON AT BLACKBRIDGE. Mr. T. C. Out of 3000 ratepayers in the borough only 494 were gas-consumers and ho claimed that by reducing the price the number would probably rise to 2000. Hβ referred also to the loans for drainage, streets improvement, etc., and pointed out that, until another loan was sanctioned' by the ratepayers littlo qould be accomplished in Iho way of improvements. Ho -was, however, not in favour of raising further loans at present. At the conclusion of his address Mr. Dawson was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
