AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

i FINANCE OF AMERICAN TOUR. ' A meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletio Association was held last evening for the purpose of receiving the report of the sub-com-mittee appointed to deal with the accounts of tho recent American athletic tour. Mr. J. H. Pollock occupied the chair ' and there were also present Messrs. J. C. Cusack, M. Burnett, W. H. Pollock, W. F. Larkin, and 0. E. Bridge. ' The sub-committee's financial statement showed that the total cost of the tour of the Dominion, New South Wales, and Victoria amounted to £480 Bs. lid. The report was adopted, and the expenses were, in accordance with the terms of tho agreement under which the tour was undertaken, allocated as under:—New Zealand, £240 4s. 5d., and tho two State Associations £120 2s. 3d. respectively. Tho result aa regards the New Zoaland Association shows a loss of about £30.
