Mr. J. F. M. Fraser, Crown solicitor, said that he. would ask for a remand until Friday. Mr. W. C; MacGregor: I appear for accused. I cannot object to a remand, but 1 ask Your Worship to fix bail. . ■ Sir. The amount that he is alleged to have misappropriated is large—about £8000. Mr. MacGregor: I do not know about the amount. In fact, Crisp himself 'is anxious ,to assist the Assignee in every way, and will give him every assistance to have his affairs straightened. He volunteered-that suggestion to me. Continuing, Mr. MacGregor said that he would suggest that there should bo a couple of sureties of £200. • If bail was made too heavy it might be prohibitive.
