Eastbii, of British Columbia,, being next with 383. and Jfr. .Tom Barren, of, Catforth, England, third iritli 315. It is interestinj* to note that the second and third pfths aro entered by breeders who are first and second in the United States comrmti* Hon. while Barren, the third man,, won the United States competition last .rear. The records are not extra good compared tvit-h those of Neiv Zealand, biit it must be remembered that the bijrda are given no meat food, while the climato is awful in.Victoria. During tho month of January it either rained or snowed every day, while the records show that the highest temperature, was 60 degrees, the lowest 23, and the meiti temperature ;lWeg.

-At the annual meeting of the Carterton branch of tho -Fanners' Union on Friday, Jtossrs. H. E. Bniinj , , .W. Howard Bootb, 8.-Eagle, j«u.. .W. Fisher, C.'Roid, C. Morgan, F. Court, R.
