THIEVES TRAPPED

Tho cart was momentarily abandoned at tho Place Vcndome, and just at that moment a man rushed up, forced the lock, arid stole £16,000 worth of jewels. When arrested, ho proved to be Count Montgelas, a native of Berlin, who was wanted for. thefts in England, Spain, and Italy.
Tho Count's five companions, including Jordan, a native of Johannesburg, and also the Countess, were arrested.
