Tho N.C.O.'s of No. 3 Area Group, Senior Cadets (Wellington and suburbs,'. held a social evening in Godbor's Rooms, Cuba Stroet, last night. Tlicro was an attendance of about 100, add a very enjoyable evening was experienced. Sergt.Jlajor Eyon presided. During the evening Captain Posies made tho presentation of the football cup (handed down to tho Cadcta by tho eld Zealandia Rifle*) to (he Peton'e Technical team, which won tho football tournament last season. In making the presentation, lie proposed the toast of the winning team, and ihe captain of the team responded. Other tests honoured were: "The King," "Area Group oUlcer Captain Potties," propsscd by uaptain Vramli. and responded to by Captain I'owlcs; "8.-11, Instructors," proposed by Captain Simeon, and responded to by SSertrt-ilajor Ryan. Numerous .musical items were also given.
