HOSS GOLDPIELDS. Tho following telegram has been, received from tho mine Enperaitenflent at RoE3 yesterday:—"Permanent pilmp installed; commenced unwaterlng Ca-srius; pressure reduced to V/Oft." WOEKSOP DREDGING CO. (From Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, April 15. The directors of tho Worksop Gold Drjde. ing Company decided on Tuesday evening to increase the capital of tho company to £12,000 by tho creation of additional capl. tal of £6000. Existing shareholders ar* to be given the right of taking up a £1 share for every £1 share they at present, hold. A dividend of 4s. per snare was declared, which makes the total payment in dividends £6 12s. per sharo to date.
PROGRESS' MINES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Creymouth, April 15. Tho London shareholders of tho Progress Mines hava been civculariecd by tho London Board of Directors informing them of important developments that have rcccmtly occurred at No. 10 level, the south reef struck at that point having avcraeod from 276 samples taken, a value of 1744 dwts. over tho width of the crosscut of 57 feet. As thia reef has apparently been struck on tho crosfc of an anticline and pitching south, No. 11 level f3 being punned on to intersect. Promising developments have also been cncWintercd in No. 9 lovel at two points-viz., Tl drive and Pl 6 rise. In view of the great importance of the above developments and the bearing in tho future of tho mine, the question is being; considered of temporarily closing down tho milling plant and conccntrating energies on developmental work.
Tho directors of tho Consolidated Goldfields are also issuing a circular enclosing a copy of the Progress Mines circular In view of its importance to the former, tho company holding as it does approximately 170.CC0 shares in the latter company. Thia circular also notifies the sale of 7632 reserve shores at par with the option to call 5000 more at tho samo price, and SCOO at 22a. 6d,
