ACJSTRALASIAN TOURNAMENT. The gymnastic and athletic tournament, hold in connection with the Australian Y.M.C.A.'s at Brisbane, Queensland, opened on Saturdav last' and closes to-day, when the gymnastis events are held, 'Hie Now Zealand representatives are Messrs. C. Nicliolts and I , ;. <J. Hubbard, of tho Wellington \.M.C.A. (..'able advice, just received ehon's that both are- upholding New Zealand's reputation. V. C. Htibbard ran first in the 100 yards, y2O yards, and 120 yards hurdles, being third in tho high-jump. C. Nieholls, who is representing the Now Zealand Associations in si.ymnaEtk's, came first in putting tho sliot. After the weekly practice of the V.M.C.A. male choir, a general meeting was held to receive, tho annual report and balance-sheet. Mr, Vi. lh J,nng. president of the club, Was in the chair. Eulogistic references were made to the excellent progress made daring the year under the , able leadership of Mi'. C.' W, Kur-ry (organist St. John's Church). Mr. Kerry has proved himself a splendid ie-idc-r and trachcr. The following officers were elected for tho eiisiriiig year:—President, Mr. .W. H. Long; vicD*presi(io)it3, Messrs. A. Varney, YV. H. Cox, V. Laurcnson; secretary, Mr. K. Btephenson; v treasurer, Mr. W. 3.C. Davey; committee, Messrs. Binjiham, Brown, and Smith, The ohib will lie pleased to enrol new members in any of tlio parts.
