—. « (By Telesrapb.—Press Association.) Rotorua, March 14. The industrial dispute between the Drivers' Union and tho Botonia Coaching Companies came before the Arbitration Court this morning, but collapsed on a, legal point. Before tho Conciliation Council the union obtained permission to strike out all employers except tho coaching companies. I'Jie employers' representatives then declined to go on beibro' the' couiu'il... Beforb tho Court this morning, Mr. Davis, representing tho uuion, applied to have the parties struck out reinstated. Mr. Justice Stringer refused on the ground that those parties had not been before the council and that tho Court could nqt ■ deal with the dieputo unless it had first been before tho council. The Judgo afterw'ards pointed out that the dispute, as a coaching companies' dispute, had also to go boforo the council, and ho did not seo how tho Court could deal with it in its present form. Mr. Davis suggested that tho Court should order tho parties in the coaching dispute to meet in conference to seo il a settlement could be reached. This was agreed to, and the, eonferenco is to report to tho next sitting of tho Court in Auckland.
