Sovonfcy-ono French professors, journalists, authors, and artists, born since the Franco-German War, have written a book entitled "Armed Force/ 1 and urging a Franco-German rapprochement. They suggest measures to help AlsaceLorraine to secure local ■ autonomy oil a largo basis within the German Empire, and recommend tho listing of German securities on tho Paris Bourse. They also urge France to promote German colonial expansion in return for compensation, and also to initiato proposals fpr a Hague Conference on tho question of limitations of armaments.
