Districts are being opened up whore the gamo has been little kiiov/it prcyijausly. An Association has bean fornjed At Nolson with about five clubs affiliated, and strong efforts are being made to link up clubs in. the Bay of Plenty districts. It is estimated that thero should be 15 or 16 associations affiliated to tho New Zealand' controlling body this season, and this will mean a large increase in the number of clubs and players. A ruling has been received from th-o Knglish Association stating that it is tho practice in England to allow tho player, ordered off the field* to continue to play 'on succeeding Saturdays, till his case has been considered by the Association concerned. Asked if there were afty_ prospects of a New Zealand team visiting Australia this season, Mr. Salmon eaid: "That question will probably be caw sidcred at tho annual meeting of the council, which will be held next month."
