_ The Royal "\Yellingtoii Cboral Society is coming to the assistance of the sufferers through tho recent qisaster with a benefit concert at tho Town Hall on Tuesday, April 21. A'first-class programme, is , being arranged. The society will aing from "The Messiah" the : Hallelujah chorus and "The Glory of the Lord." The- Angolus chorus, from "Maritana," iand '.'Cast Thy Burden;" from "Elijah."': This latter item will bs suiiß . unaccompanied. When the iVciety gave. ."Elijah" last year the feature (ii the chorus singing was "Cast Thy Burden'." - Mr. Hamilton Ho.dctes, among'other .members., will sing "Thn Hero's Death" ; Miss Mina : Caldow will siiij; the''recit and aria ''0 Love, From Thy Power", (from "Samson and Delilah"; Mr. Waldemar Eiby will mako.hjs first appearance , in ."Wellington on this occasion. Mr. Eiby is said to possess a very lino tonor .voice. The full programme will be announced next week.
