ChrfstehurcH, April 9. • As a result of a, discussion on tho state of tho boot trade in New Zealand at the conference of tho New Zealand Bootmakers' Union, held in Ohristcliurcli during last Christmas, a conference on tlio subject lias been • arranged between . representatives of tho Now Zealand Boot Manufacturers' Association and of tho Now Zealand Best Trade Union. The conference is to be lieW on April 15 at Wellington. Tho union will bo represented b\* ono dt'logato from each* of tlio big centres. Sir. C. A. Watts will represent Auckland. Mr, J. Hutchison,' : Wellington, Mr. W, Williams, Chrisleliurclij and Sir. G. R. Whitine? will attend as general secretary of the union. The pmiediu delegate's name Is not yot Shown.
