Tlio following team lias been chosen to represent the North Island University Colleges against the South Island University College on Hagley Park at Easter (Tuesday and Wednesday):— Airey, Caradus, Gray, Jacobscn, Stewart, Thomas (Auckland.U.C.),-Atmore. EASTER REPRESENTATIVE MATCH Ono of the most interesting cricket matches of tho season will bo commenced on trio Basin Reservo at a quarter to two to-morrow afternoon. Tho visiting team is a strong side, arranged by Mr. D. Reese, of Christchureh, and tho. Wellington team to meet it is a good one. . As W. A Baker, who was orginally chosen as a member of the Wellington eleven, is unable to play, the selector (Mr. F. Midlano) has chosen H. E. Burton, of tho Central Club, to till the-vacancy. LACROSSE The annual incetiiig of tho Wellington Lacrosso Association was held at the Albert Hall last evening, Mr. P. J. M'Govern presiding. * The annual report and balance-sheet (a precis- of which has been published) was read, and adopted. It was unanimously decided to join with the Hockey Association in its protest against the City Council's action in increasing tho rates on playing areas. Messrs. Leydon, Proud, and M'Govern were appointed a committee to go into the matter with tho Hockey Association. Mention was made of a proposed visit of a Sydney lacrosso team to Wellington during tho coming season. It was announced that the Sydney team would be leaving tho New South. Wales port on August 29, and would arrivo in Wellington on September 2. No definite programme has as yet been drawn up, but it is understood that the visitors will play matches in Wellington and Auckland.
