WAIRARAPA P. & A; SOCIETY Tho Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society held a very successful gift stock sale in March. _ The amount realised hy the co-operation of the auctioneers in the Wairarapa-was £291 19s. for the sales of stock which, with £14 12s. Od. promised in donations, resulted in the splendid total of £306 lis. 6d. being available for the society to expend on improvements. It is the society's intention to devote a portion of this sum to increasing, accommodation for purebred cattlo and sheep, and necessary improvements to the Agricultural Hall, which has of late years been found to be insufficient for the number of exhibits received.
