Tho personnel of the commission appointed by tho Government to report upon proposals for tho construction of canals and other measures for tho more profitable utilisation of tho inland waterways in tho Auckland province is as follows:—Mr. William Ferguson, secretary and engineer to tho Wellington Gas Company, and for many years engineer for tho Wellington Harbour Board; Mr; ]<!. Parry, electrical engineer for tho Department of Public Works; and Mr. ,T. E. AVatsoli, of Invercnreill, who will represent tho commercial interests. As a great deal of preparation is necessary in'connection with the work to ho done, it is unlikely that the commission will commence its investigations before tho end of tho present year. _________
