,' :—« ;*_*■ The annual meeting of the Wellington Grocers' "Union was held last piglit in the Trades' Hall. ■ A balance-sheet for the half-year ending March 31 showed receipts at £61, and expenditure £30. Tho period finished with a credit of-just on £90. .• All the retiring officers, with the exception of one comiuitteeman who has. left the- district, wero re-elected unopposed. In response to requests from the United Labour Party, the sue of £2 2s. was voted towards the Mayoral ejection campaign fund. There was a surplus in hand from the annual sports meeting, and. it was decided to make a small presentation to Mr. J. Kennedy, in recognition of his services as handicapper during the past, .five years. A-balance of 23s.was votect as a donation to the Huifc relief fund.
