A DEFECTIVE MEMORY
(To the Editor.)
Kir,—>Your morning contemporary is ViM'y consistent in pointing out sup* ])«ed inconsistencies on the- part- f>l tho present Ministry, and the Hon. Mr, Fisher in particular, but is it- itself consistent? Yes; consistent i» lnisrcpTuseiitatien. For instance, in. its Ifdding artielc.ro tho Hon. Mr, fisher's m<wl-iiii{ in tho Town Hall on Ifriday night, it refers to the Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward's speeclron'tho nigiit of tho last Jsoiieffll eleetion, ivlren, it says, a "howling mob of Reformers refused j> lipiu'ing to Sir Joseph Ward, and followed him te-his residence like i\ pack of maniacs." This is totally different from what it said on the morning .after Uto incktaifc, for it then stated that Sir Joseph Ward was escorted to his residence by a crowd of "enthusiastic admirers"! Tho "Times" is evittcnUy troubled with a deiectivo memory, and evidently considers the general public is sJHiitarJr afflicted, but I bclievo next; twllins: d:iv will cmivitieo it of its error, j -I ami otc., F.Alll PLAY.
