In the, case of espionage against tho Goulds, the Crown did not offer any evidence against Mrs. Gould and she 'was acquitted. , ' • Her husband (Frederick Gould) pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to six years' imprisonment-, and recommended for deportation. Sir J. A. Simou (Attorney-General) said that Gould was for twelve years in the German Army, and won tho Iron Gross. He had been a spy in England 6ince 1900. FRENCH SPIES IN GERMANY. Berlin, April 3.
