POST OFFICE STORE BURNT. / (By Telegraph.—Preso Association.) Pahiatua, April 2. > Tho Post Office store at Mangamutu, opposite tho Pahiatua Railway Station, was totally destroyed by firo tin's morning. Tho post office records were saved. The eauso of tho fire is unknown, but it is believed to have originated in a chaffroom attached to tho shop. Tho business is carried on by J. j\l whose stock' was insured for £600. A portion of tho stock was saved. The building is owned by E. J. Staunton, Motueka, but tho insurance is not availablo.
