'Last week Miss C. W. Christie gave a' public lecture for the Order of the Star in the East, on the subject, "Tho Worjd Religion, What isit?" Tho lecturer said that religion has in the past been broken Up into fragments, every section holding h part of tho great truth, but all have come from God, and when all these are again united it will "be in a mnch grander form than at the beginning. Being part of the mind of God, m must go back to Him. Ho may be taken, as a centre of intense fire, sending out rays of light. At the outward edjje of each ray is ■. a form of religion. As the rays work to the centre, getting nearer and nearer to each other, they absorb and. uso,knowledge'gained from each other, till at last the separate rnys are united in the being of tho All Father. ' Jle3srs. Milburn and Co., Auckland, have a sheeu run of 2200 acres on tho East Coast for sale.
