(By Telegraph—Prese Association.) Wangahui, Maroh 28. A race for the eight-oared championship of New Zealand, cafryiug the Somcfrillo Shield, was successfully defended to-day by the Union 8.C., who beat the challengers (Wanganui R.C.) by two feet, after a great struggle. .
