Mr. Massey assured the deputations that tho Government intended to do all in its power to promote closer settlement and to fur. ther in every way possible tho fruitgrowing industry, not only in Otugo, but throughout the Dominion. He referred to thp growing importance of the industry, and predicted a large cxpoit irado in apples, particularly to tho,East Coast of South America.
