SARDINES IN THE SEA OF GALILEE.
NEW INDUSTRY FOR TIBERIAS. A company is about to be formed for the establishment of a fish-curing and sardine factory on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. It appears, says the Jerusalem journal the "Truth," that for tho last year or two great shoals of sardines havo appeared. in these, waters, 'and it ia thought. that a remunerative industry could bo formed if only a conccssion could bo obtained for a long term of years at a uniform rate. Representations on the subject have already been made to the authorities. Tho inhabitants of Tiberias, who arc extremely poor, would certainly tin yreatly benefited, adds the "Truth." as tho products would certainly be patronised by Jews and Christians alike, for, besides possessing a superior flavour. the fact of their coming from tho Sea of Galilee would facilitate the disposal of them even in Western countries •
