ST. JAMES CLUB,

DIFFICULTIES TO MASTER, . The annual meeting of the St. Jamss Football Club ivas hold last c-voiiiisg. Mr. F. Alpo presided. The annual re* port (previously publislietl) was adopted. Mr. A. C. Kitto explained that there was no balance-sheet ready far presentation, as the treasurer vis away, and ail the books of the dub were not available. Messrs. F. Alpc, J. HoAre, 13. Ucddingfield were appointed a aah-eom-mitteo to see that a tinancial statement is put before the club. Somo , of the member's present took exception to the fact that several comlmtteeinen were absent- from the meeting.

The chairman said , that the' position of the club was iiot entirely satisfactory, and the question was:. "Can , it be improved?" A lotter was received from a- writer interested' in. Sixth Division football offering to donate a gold medal for the best player in the dmsiGii. —Accepted. Tho secretary of tho'Auckland Fobt,ball Association wrote stating that, as tho city reserves were net available en Easter Saturday, it had becii decided to play the 'Wellingta.a'-Aueld'anci match on tho association's owa ground at Bayswater. An offer of 60 per cent, of the net gato receipts was accepted. Letters wero received from Canter- 1 bury, Marlborough, and Auckland Associations authorising the Wellington Association to ask the N.Z.F.A. to hold a special general meeting to consider a notice Of motion by Mr." A, WilliamS) as follows:—"That owing to the fact that in Wellington there are fotvr bodies dealing with Associatioa football —namely, the Now Zealand Foot-, hall Association, the New Zealand Referees' Association, tho Welfasten Football Association, and the Wellington Referees' Association—aed as it has been tho custom in the past to appoint persons to aet on more than one of' the* bodies mentioned, no person shall be qualified to so act on more than one body." Green a member of St. David's Club wrote at length. Ho made several suggestions, one of which was that the present age-limit' in the Third Division (21 years) bo-abolished, Mr. Green also suggested tJiat the Fourth Division ago-Kroit be increased from 18 years to 10 years* Other suggestions wero that Second awl Third Division teams winning their respective championships (providing' such teams are not represented in a higher, division) bo obliged, next season, to enter , tho division above; also that teams at tho bottom of tho Senior and Second Divisions to bo relegated to the division immediately below. It was decided that the writer bo advised to bring forward the matters mentioned in his lotter. at a Special general meeting of the association.
