AN OUTIKG FOR CHILDREN. ■ Some sixty radiant-faeed children sped through the city yesterday morning in motor-cars, bound for a day's Outing In the Hutt Valley, Faces beaming with good spirits peeped oyer tho sides of cars to oyo less fflrtiinate as, they hurried to a day's tefl. It was by the generosity of some nine owners of cars that the frere enabled to have this clay of picnie pleasure in the year. ' Mr. W. H. P. Barber was the originator of the idea. For some years it was his ear alone that conveyed the children away from the smoke flnd bustle of town, but, last year, he enlisted other cars to tho cause, aiid, yps* tcrday, nine motors lined up outside the home.
