At the inquest 'tlic analyst declared thnt they feud died frfl-nr blood-poisoning by carbon monoxide, due to fmiws from a caldron vised to heat the daughter's room. '■<■ Thts caldron was filled with a mixture of clay antl' ! small coal made into balls. The : gas prodnoed by their combustion was tasteless;, colourless, and odaurtcss.
