■ - ■'.- —« ■ • MONTHLY MEETING. ■ Tho monthly meeting'of the Welling,tpn Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held yesterday afternoon. There ■were present: Tho Rev. W. A. Evans (chairman), Dr. D. E. Platts-Mills, Mrs. JD.-M'Laren, the Rev. J. K. Elliott, the Rev. H. Van Staveren, Dr. Mackenzie, Messrs. H. Baldwin, D. Campbell, F. Castle, H. Freeman, W. Galloway} B. 11. Gardener, D. M'Laren, F. T. Mdore, J, W. M'Ewan, G. Nash,, G. J. llethorickj D. Robertson, and J. Smith.) The following accounts for the month were passed for payment:—Wellington Hospital, £5143 lis. Bd.; Charitable Aid and Ohiro Home, £1704 35.; Otaki Hospital and Sanatorium, £302 4s. 3d.; Head Office, District Nurse, etc.; £229 ss. Bd.; total, £7439 4s. 7d.. _ The following cases of infectious diseases in Wellington district were investigated during the month ending March 9; figure's for the corresponding period last year being givou in parentheses:— Scarlet fever, 9 cases (o cases); diphtheria, 1 (5); tuberculosis, 11 (13); enteric fever, 3 (0) ;■ chicken-pox, 2, (0); infantile paralysis, 2; paralysis, 2.
