RANCITIKEI RACING CLUB.
At a meetiug of tho committee of the Itangitikei llacing Club this weok, Mr. F. J. Man&cll reported that tho new 24-horco totalisator from Messrs. Turnbuli and Jones had arrived, and had been erected to the satisfaction of tho couiso committee. A voto of thanks was accorded Mr. Mansell for supervising the work. Tho lawn licensing hoolh has been enlarged, and a 16-foot "leaa-to" has been added to the building. Tho lawn, saddling paddock, and course arc in good order, and everything is in readiness for the race meeting next week, although a shower of rain would bo welcomed.
Mr. James M'Mahcn, stipendiary steward, wilt bo-in. atteudanco at the fixture. Tho judicial committee appointed is as follows:—Messrs. J. G. Wilson, K. W. Deighton, E. Goodbehere, J. H. Porrott, and K. W. Dalvj mple. Tho following officials were also appointed for the meeting:—Placed horses, Messrs. A. A. M r Doncll, T, F. Richardeon, F„ J. Manscll, and W. J, Phillips; blackboard steward, Mr. J. B. Johnstone; starter's steward, Mr. F, 0. Bailey: deputy judge, Mr. Jas. M'Kelvie; totalisator steward, Mr. J. II Porrott; bird caco steward, Mr. A, AM'Donell.
