A deputation from tho Gore Boi'oiish Council' waited on him relative to- tho flood protection report recently received from the Department's onSJneer. The Minister promised to -subsidise any work tindertakon £1 for £L The matter will new bo placed before the ratepayers, and tho work, if taken, will bo carried out by the Public Works Department. A imputation from the Gore High School 1 Boatd of Governoss approached the Minister relative to the local Higli Sehrtol having mo endowments, and sug-Rc-sted pooling the reserves. Mr, Fras-er pramised to place the matter before the Minister of Education. He advised thn local board to make cowman cause with other boards similarl.v >, placed, in an endeavour to fold a solution.
