The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:-At Eketaliuna. on Friday there waa a very hoaTy yarding of cheep, all the available yards, including tho cattle pens, being occupied. .Bidding throughout the sale was animated, o,nd nearly every line changed hands under the hammer. The yarding of cattle was small. Our chief eale3. were :-2-tpotn ewes. lis. to 16s. 6d.; f .m. ewes, ICh. . 4d. to 13s. 9d.; aged do., is. 2d. to 9s. 3d.; shorn lambs, 7s. lid. to 9s. 10d.; Homncy rams. 3gns.; Lincoln rams. 3gns.; and weaner steers, £1 10s. ■ At I'ongaroa ou Thursday the firm submitted a large entry of sheep. Competition throughout the eale was Keen, and, with the eiception of one pen, a total clearance was made at most satisfactory prices -.-6-tooth and 4-year-old ewes made 165.: aged ewes, is. 9d. to. Bs. 6d.; 2 and 4tootli wethers, 16s. 6d.; 2-tootli wethers, 165.; shorn wether lambs, lie. lCd.; cull lambs, fa. 3d. to 6s. 9d.
