As result of exhaustive inquiries liT members of thts. executive of ■ iho "Wellington WhalMabonters , Onion, it has, been found that- several inert whohave .never Joined the anion have been working, some easiialfy and some faifiy regularly, along the water-front. These meiij when a-sked to produce tlieir union books, could not do so. Th«y wwo at once tcfltl to leave off work. A number of men were put. off yesterday and the executive will consider what action will be taken in regard to t-hem. Probably the Don-itniooiste will be requested to send in written applications, to join the Union, and each a-ftriieaiiou wift be considered on its merits.
