Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having hold their fortnightly salo at Woodville- on Monday, when they offered a full yarding of all classes of Bheep. Competition for breeding owes was Itcon: all lines, with one exception, wcro quitted at very satisfactory prices. Prices for f.m. ewes, 12a. to 12s. 6d.'j good two-tooth ewes, 18s. lOd.; small mixed-sex woolly lambs, 10s.; fat ewes, Us. sd. to 15s. 6d.

On Tuesday tho firm held a clearing sale on tho farm, on account of Mr. J Russell. Gillespie's Line. The cows'were a fino.lot of early calvcrs, and tho 22 head averaged £7 155., the beet price of tho aay was for a Jersey-Holstein, which sold at £12. Fat cattle wero easier and there was a decided rise in the price of fat lambs, on account of tho keen competition, for export, especially by one firm, btoro sheep of all classes sold well, and tat ahcep were very 'firm; Heavy fat pigs wero slightly easier, but porkers were -unchanged. The sale of store sheep opened very briskly, competition, being keen for ewes at prices on a par with those ruling a week earlier. - li'or wethers there was no change in values, and the same may bo said of lambs.
