The amounts received in cash at tho gates were as follow: —Wednesday, £45 fis.; Thursday, £12; Friday, £10 9b: 3d.; Saturday, £10 9s. These amounts do, not, of course, represent tho attendance, as, from the very first,_ tho sellers of art union tickets, which entitled people to admission, were very active right up to the gates.

Mr. Amos states that liis principal worry now I*3 to get iu the art union books. He hopes to have them all in time to call a meeting of the executive committee- some tamo next week, when a draft statement of the finances may bo presented. In the meantime there were ma/ty attractions coming on. The baby show 13 to be held at the Concert Chamber this afternoon, and the skating carnival at the Vivian Street Rink, and the swimming carnival at Te Aro Baths both take place this evening. A boxing tournament is yet to be held in connection with the Carnival.
