UNITED STATES SENATOR'S ■WARNING. By Telograph-PfcM Association—Cttßtfrielit Washington, 'March 10. , Mr. Samuel Untefinsyer, a. leading lawyer, examined Ijy the Senate Committee on Banking Currency, defended the Currency Bill, which, ho said, would regulate stock exchanges. He denied that the Bill intended to Russianise the American Press, The Bill merely empowered the Postmaster-General to exclude from the mails any publication containing quotations from ail improperly organised Stock Exchange.
Mr. Untermeysr declared that tlio nower and momentum of the American Press was increasing SO rapidly that tlw danger was that the Press would Russianise the people.
