CONVERSATIONS WITH FRANCE.

Acland (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs), in reply to Sir Gilbert Parker, said that the first suggestion for a conference regarding tho New Hebrides was made last summer. Since then, said Mr.'Acland, France has asked us to state in greater detail the matters wo desire to discuss. This was done in November, after, consultation with Australia and Now Zealand. Wo are hoping that Franco may be' able to agree to a conference, which should' meet at an early date..
