Mr. Frederick Townsen'd Martin, an American millionaire and banker, longactivoly interested in East End slum work, is dead. Mr. Frederick T. Martin was torn in New York in 1849. Ho was admitted to tho Bar there, but subsequently entered as a private in the Zouave Cadets, and completed Iris military career as colonel. ITis publications include "The Passing of the Idle Kicli," "Tho Reminiscences of My Life," and "My Personal Experiences of Meeting Snobs."
