AN AUCKLAND SEASIDE RESORT. (By Telesraph.-P/eM Association.) . ' ' Auckland, March 10. .Serious complaints as to the immodest bohaviour of Sunday bathers on Mil'.ord . Beach were made at the meeting of the " Takapuna Ratepayers' Association last ■ evening, ono of tho ratepayers strongly urging that tho situation now-palled for more, adequate polico supervision. Tho subject cropped up on.a suggestion.that the Tramway Company should be asked to erect sign-post's to guido visitors to , Takapuna Beach. .■■... Mr. Mahony questioned the desirability of taking any steps to attract visitors to the vicinity of tho lake. In view of what happened at Milford Beach, he thought that it" was just as well that . visitors should go,right on to tho tcr- . minus of the tramway. "The scenes.witnessed on Milford Beach on Sundays are really disgraceful," he continued. "I' strongly believe that a second con- ' stable should bo appointed on account of ■ the most offensive attitude taken up by bathers of both sexes from morning till night.
