Baildirigs, plant., and stock were insured in the Standard office fof £3000, the amount being largely reinsured. Mr. . Cawtlionie estimates his' loss at £1000 above this.
ARSON SUSPECTED. ■WaßganuHj March 9, A serious fire, in comitetion with which arson is strongly suspected, took .place- at Fwrdoll during Sttndny night ar early on Monday morning, uhen fliirtyoae stacks of grain, owned by Mr. \V. Chapman; farmer, ivero (tastroycd. T'ie. grain had been recently harvested, and the stacks were standing in a number of fields hi Mr. Chapman's large farm. It. appears that these, wefo deliberately ignited, for many are separated by some distance. The destroyed grain was insured in the Phoenix office'for £600, but My. Chapman places his loss at £200 above that amount.
