' Tlie "Daily Telegraph" states that whilst, a well-known' spiritualist was giving a seance before a room full of people, the lights' being low, s'evoral spirits appeared. The gentleman to whom the medium was under engagement, wishing to test the genuineness of the spirits, made a grab at tho ghostly and encountered a flimsy, material. > ■ .
A light was struck, and showed that ho held one end'of a mosquito netting l the medium tugging at the other end. Tlie medium did not accept the chance to explain,.but bolted for the street, hatless. Ho \yas pursued by some- of the■ audience. " : •'.'.:.' , .',...' '
Tho medium, interviewed later, declared that the demonstration was genuine,' and that spirits actually, materialised. The,' staterrient that he held ono «ud of the drapery was absolutely false. Ono of the audience, who accompanied hinrin his flight : and searched the medium,' was also interviewed. Ho supported -,the medium's statements.
