Particulars of harbour excursions during Carnival week are advertised in this issue by the Eastbourne Borough Council. At the Seamen's Institute-last night an onjoyablo programme of instrumental and vocal music was. rendered by the Brooklyn Glee Club, under the direction of Mr. W. M'Lellan. During an interval the Missionor, Mr. W. E. Cocks, took the opportunity of referring to tho invaluablo services rendered to the mission by Mr. W. Gardner; who had superintended the work during tho Missioner's recent holiday. He concluded by presenting Mr. Gardner with au attractive Australian token of his personal appreciation. Investors will bo interested in an announcement inserted iu this issue in reference to the salo of a granite quarry and valuable Auckland nroDcrty.
