Emery-Barnes, of Cambridge, accuses the Upper House 6f Canterbury Convocation of paltering with the truth in ; retaining the damnatory clauses of .the Athanaßian creed.' •Ho protests against tho House ordering tho recitation of tho _ revised translation once a year. This, Mr. Barnes regards as an opportunity which it does not dare to face. "The fact is," he declares,' "the damnatory clauses contain a direct untruth."
