In a Supreme' Court action for slander, Martha Priest,, of Ngatu-ri, proceeded .against Leonard Carey, farm manager, for £501 damages for a state' iirent -Alkged to IwtVo been mado to a member -of a family by whom sho was eiti.ployed. T'lio jury en Thursday awarded £5 damages, and asked that costs be as low as possible. Judgment was entered accordingly, lyith costs as fixed by scale.
