. 'UNITY SCHEME DISCUSSED. ' (By Telegraph.—PrcM Association.) ' ■ Auckland, February 27. Delegates to the annual mooting of tKe New Zealand District of the Hibernian Australasian Catholic Benefit Society djscusscd a' unity scheme which lias been engaging tho serious attention of New Zealand branches.A good deal of difference'of-opinion was oppressed, Tho- district president asked that tho scheme shonld not bo put to the vote; lio .promised by noxt district mooting to provido machinery for tho full working of tho scheme. . A resolution ■ was carried asking the District Exceutiye to take into consideration the bast means to promote the "unity and propagation ■of tho ■•society and to take counsel with the various centres of the -Dominion and submit proposals to. the'.triennial meeting at' AVestport in 191 G.
Officers wore elected as follow:—President, Mr. D. Flynn; vice-president, Mr. James Smith; secretary, Mr. W. Kane; treasurer, Mr. M. J. Sheahanj auditors. Messrs. J. Stcad and C. Mullholland. ,
