Of New Zealand interest. Tho marriago of Mr. James Henderson (Grcymouth, Now Zealand), ' only flon of the lato Mi\ Peter Kcddio, Mrs. Keddio, Timar'u, New Zealand, Jind Miss Elsie Winnil'red, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert hompseetl, -Tarry* burn, The Glebe, fiobart, was solemnised at tho reskkmea of the bride's parents, Sydney, on. Friday, I'ebruarv (i, the Rev. J. ii. Hentoulv of Chalmers Presbyterian Church, officiating. Tho room was tastefully decorated with white roses and carnations. . The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white crepe do ehefie mounted on silk trimmed with Himiton lace, wedding veil (mtn by all the bride's married sisters) arranged cap fashion with cliaplot of orange- blossom. Her ornaments were diamond cluster ring with 'whole, pearl in the centre, string of pearls, gift of tho bridegroom, aiid gold wristlet watch, gift of her mother. Her bouquet was of white carnations and roses, with Etoniton law holder. The bridesmaid was Jlisa Hoddio Hempseed, in white silfc coat and skirt,'coat made full on yoke and draped skirt., hat of white s.atin covered with .ninoa" and ninon frill, -and wore a, gold fence and rail bracelet, gift of the bridegroom, bouquet of pink and lafue pes tied with blue ribbon. Refreshments were served in .the dining-room. ."Aladdin." : No one who .was-pr-teent at the production of "Aladdin" in the Opera House last evening could possibly complain of laok of variety, for the most surprising, "turns" (veto prcsoiited during the courso of the. 'ciitertainroefit. Like most pantomimes the story of "Aladdin" is somewhat nebulous, but few people would find f aiilt with it on that account. Being aft 'Oriental story th'.i staging and setting of the piece were full of colour and s'tri.'kifig,. if 'not at. times bizarre,, effects., and much of the scenery was beautiful,. particularly tlie exterior of tlje Wonderful cave, and and later.on; the iut&rior. An altogether novel effect was the grand ragtime revue ■-which'- passed in procession .a'latcg tho platform leaving (over the -pass-age way) from ihc stage, to the bask of thestalls, and in which were ijitraduced the most recent ragtime rtielodies and dances. Strenuous things, the last! 'Miss-Palotto as a boy, .was in quite.a new .character to most Wellington thea-tre-goers, .and as might Iravo been ex* fected was. a gay .and most engaging one.- Unlike-"Akddin,".who was first introduced to readers of his .i(lvon.tur«s in rags of .the .seediest description.,' Miss I'alotta was particularly, deboiinaire in her suit-of. cheery, jeol. and- a #ap with a .jaunty bow over wig.eat. The princess Badroubladour, too, was' 1 a picturesque .little'., figure-: in her Orientalchesses,, as. was Cheo .Kee also. In fact, the dressing throughout the pantomime, was quite in its colour effects. It .seemed rather a pity that-"Aladdin" did not have the setting of the neft- ! Opera House for its production-in Wellington. • ; •..
