Sir, —Referring to your article in this morning's issue on ."Tho Price of Radium," kindly allow me to take this opportunity of correcting a misapprehension which' appears to have got abroad that the .movement which has emanated from Palmerston is to establish a radium institute at Palmerston North. lam authorised by the chairman of the committee set up to further tho project to state definitely that' tho question of sito has yet to .Be determined, and there is no suggestion in tho minds of our committee that the sito should necessarily bo at Palmerstdii. Wo simply look on ourselves as the nucleus of a largo and influential body of men, representing {Tie whole of the North Island, by whom the question of site will be settled with, wo confidently hope, the assistance of the Government, as soon as we can put before them a practical scheme, backed by a sufficient sum of money to warrant them in taking part. " I desire to emphasise tho fact that there is nothing parochial about tho movement at all, and- I trust that the majority of your readers will lend a hand in establishing on a firm footing this latest' boon .to suffering humanity. —I am, etc., H, &.
