AIR MAIL FROM THE SOUTH.

MR. J. H, SCOTLAND'S PLAN. Mr. J. H. Scotland's recent flight' from. Invorcargill to. Gore is the first stage of a tour of the South Island which this enterprising aviator has' arranged. The "Mataura. Ensign" states that- after he • has ' travelled ovpr the South- Island, Mn Scotland will fly across Cook Strait to Wellington. Arrangements are being <made with the Postmaster-General ■ (Hon. R. H. Rhodes) for the aviator to carry the first aerial mail iii New. Zealand, which will probably be between Christchurch and-.Wellington. .' It is interesting to note. that Mr. Scotland's' flirrht from Inv'ercargill. to Gore is stated. to be the' longest 1 successful flight ever undertaken in Australasia, and the'people in the southern portions of New Zealand can be accounted fortunate in being tile first to witness this unique spectacle. ;
